Google makes its revenue through Ads delivery on its products, and it won’t let you spoil that party.
Many Youtube users awoke in the past weekend to discover that they were unable to stop Youtube Ads from displaying (or skipping) when they clicked to watch any Youtube video.
It was soon discovered that the problem only occured to persons who have the AdBlock Plus software installed on their Chrome browser.

So if you click to watch a Youtube video, and there is no “Skip Ad” option after the 5th second, you probably know what to do now.
Fixed it.
It seems to be just a Chrome thing. According to Adblock, uninstalling the "YouTube" "app" resolves the issue.— SteeScribbles (@SteeScribbles) September 6, 2015
