TiketMobile has launched WeMove, a bus hiring subsidiary. The bus hiring company has apparently been operational in Lagos for a few weeks now despite TiketMobile’s refusal to launch in Lagos when it pivoted and went into airport shuttle services in Abuja and later Port Harcourt.
TiketMobile’s story is a lesson in resilience, refusing to roll over and die after the infamous saga involving Celestine Ezeokoye, the Co-creation Hub, Tony Elumelu Foundation and Jason Njoku back in 2013. By the time it was all said and done, all the partners(Constance Okoghenun and co) had gone their separate ways while Celestine tried his hands on Ocaman and had a brief stint with Interswitch as well before returning to build TiketMobile in 2015.
It will be interesting to watch how WeMove fares over time.
