A few hours ago, Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey gave away 1/3 of his company stock to employees. According to him, a small piece of something big is better than a big piece of something small. That fraction is about 1% of the company.
?⚡️ I’m giving ~1/3rd of my Twitter stock (exactly 1% of the company) to our employee equity pool to reinvest directly in our people.

He also stated that he believes the company will be big and his confidence in the employees to make it happen.
As for me: I’d rather have a smaller part of something big than a bigger part of something small. I’m confident we can make Twitter big! ✌️ — Jack (@jack) October 23, 2015
It will be recalled that Jack Dorsey was recently confirmed as the company’s CEO after serving as interim CEO for a few months. He laid off some of the workforce on confirmation and rolled out a slew of updates to Twitter, including Moments and Highlights.
