Puma just subtly announced its auto-lacing shoes. Yes, like we needed to get lazier. Anyway, the autolacing works via a patented disc closure system which includes a servo motor that powers a uniquely configured cable system designed to offer tunable support throughout the shoe which is known as Puma AutoDisc.
This is however not a new innovation as Nike demoed a similar technology last month but Puma may be the first to go to market with it as popular sprinter, Usain Bolt, has been seen wearing it. Below is a video of how it works.
