Nigeria – The world’s next startup frontier

Nigeria is one of the world’s fastest growing economies. It has been heralded as one of the next economic giants, part of the up-and-coming MINT.

It’s a country that has a lot to teach the world about business. I’ve collaborated with startups around the world – from New York to San Francisco to London.  I believe it is one of the next startup frontiers.

Earlier this year, I camped out at CcHUB to learn from Lagos’ most exciting entrepreneurs. You can read more about what I got up to here.

Over the next six weeks, we’ll be releasing one video conversation with one entrepreneur a week. The questions we explored:

  • What does it mean to be an entrepreneur in Nigeria?
  • What can entrepreneurs in Nigeria teach the world?
  • With so many barriers, how can you create business that scales?
  • What problem are you solving?

We’re kicking off with the charismatic Bayo Puddicome, co-founder of Pledge 51 / ChopUp, a mobile gaming company focused on the African market, with the idea that almost everyone in Nigeria is an entrepreneur.
